Center for Excellence for Cancer Treatment and Immunotherapy Research (CECTIR)
CECTIR is a specialty out-patient clinical research and cancer treatment center located with Sukumvit Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. The center was established by physicians and scientists affiliated with the Thailand National Cancer Institute and the Thai Ministry of Public Health to provide both world-class cancer treatment and clinical research. CECTIR staff physicians have specialized in hematology/oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, interventional radiology and infectious disease. The center aims to bring state-of-the-art cancer treatment to Thai patients and medical tourists in a research environment. Staffed with oncology nurses, clinical trial coordinator and clinical research associates with extensive clinical trial experience, CECTIR has a laboratory facility for processing and storage of tissue and blood samples for research. In addition, the center has a sophisticated information technology infrastructure for electronic medical records and case report forms.
Banner MD Anderson Medical Center (BMDAMC)
BMDAMC is the Phoenix branch of the world-renowned MD Anderson Medical Center in Houston, TX. MD Anderson is one of the original three comprehensive cancer centers in the United States. It is both a degree-granting academic institution and a cancer treatment and research center, and one of the few hospitals in the United States affiliated with two major research based medical schools: The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, part of the larger University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and Baylor College of Medicine. For 2015, MD Anderson Cancer Center was ranked #1 for cancer care in the "Best Hospitals" survey published in U.S. News & World Report.
